Elim Group Home: Helping children with HIV/AIDS receive an education.
Children's Bridge Foundation is providing a Teacher/Tutor for children currently living in the Elim Group home. The children in this very special group home are living with HIV.  Life in an orphanage for a child with HIV is even harder than for most. The fear surrounding HIV in China is still significant. These children may be isolated from other children in their community. The truth is that, with treatment the children do have a hope and a very bright  future. They are capable of being adopted and living long and happy lives. At the Elim Group Home the children receive the medical treatment and care that they need in order to stay healthy. Unfortunately, once the local schools discovered their HIV+ status, they were no longer welcome there, and so "home schooling" has become a necessity. This is where the Children's Bridge Foundation has stepped in to provide the teacher/tutor that the children need, and also to provide  professional development and workshops for caregivers who are  supporting children in Elim’s Group Homes.

Past China Program: Funding surgeries for children in orphanages.
For several years, the Children's Bridge Foundation covered the cost of surgeries for children living in orphanages and foster care in China who had not received the medical help they needed. With an agent on the ground, we worked with orphanages to identify children who needed our help and provided them with the surgeries and care they required.
Many of the children we worked with may never be adopted due to their age and/or medical needs. By providing surgeries for these kids, we improved their immediate health and also gave them the opportunity for a brighter future.
