Ann worked in a bank for fourteen years before following in the footsteps of her father and brother, and going back to school to become an Accountant. While she was a student, Ann volunteered with the Catholic Immigration Service, helping them with their accounting. Upon graduation, Ann committed a percentage of her services to helping the under-privileged, particularly women and children. She was then appointed by Order in Council as a federal Returning Officer, and served in that capacity for ten years. She now has an accounting practice, a small business and does the accounting for a daycare centre.
Ann has two sons, two step-daughters, four children in law and seven grandchildren.
